Long-Lost Vintage Video – Behind The Scenes of PSYCHO II!

May 25, 2016

If you’re still in mourning from the conclusion of A&E’s 4th season of BATES MOTEL, hopefully you’ve been finding solace by revisiting the original Anthony Perkins fronted movies? Or maybe you’re already a die-hard PSYCHO fan and know & love the original Alfred Hitchcock masterpiece and it’s sequels. Either way, when it comes to the PSYCHO legacy, it’s pretty well recognized that the follow-up to the original – PSYCHO II, which arrived 22 years after it’s predecessor is actually really great and has gone on to spawn it’s own cult following!

Scream Factory were kind enough to put out collector’s editions of both PSYCHO II and PSYCHO III a few years back. And now for later this year, they’ve got their sights set on a collector’s edition for PSYCHO IV: THE BEGINNING; the final film to feature Anthony Perkins in the role of Norman Bates. But while you wait, we’ve got something special just for all you PSYCHO II fans out there.

Below is a series of featurettes that were created around the time of PSYCHO II’s release as promotional items to air on TV and for various press outlets. These original tapes were uncovered right before the PSYCHO II Blu-Ray release and are presented as one long bonus feature on there, but for your convenience, all the segments have been separated and properly edited into several individual clips, all of which you can watch below. So take a few minutes, and look behind the curtain of the making of PSYCHO II with director Richard Franklin, Anthony Perkins, Vera Miles and more!
